by Global Finance

Global Finance have announced the results for their “World’s Best Private Banks 2022”.

BNP Paribas Wealth Management has been honored several sought-after awards recognizing its leadership across key markets in Europe. The private bank was named “Best Private Bank” in Western Europe, in France and in Belgium, pointing out a strong record of accomplishment.

Global Finance mentioned: “It is in digitalization that our Best Private Bank in Western Europe, BNP Paribas Wealth Management, outstrips the competition. Its private banking and wealth management divisions have benefited from the parent bank’s long-term investment in digital transformation, but it is precisely in the way these tools have been adapted to facilitate digital engagement between the client and the relationship manager that BNP Paribas excels—whether that be in real-time portfolio monitoring, advising on the evolution of investment strategies or identifying new products aligned closely with the client’s specific needs. Nonetheless, effective digital capacity is only part of the equation. The French lender established a wealth management university in 2017 to train private bankers how best to reach out and service its high net worth clients, making for a winning combination of personal and technological expertise. BNP Paribas is Global Finance’s country winner for both France and Belgium, and it is a leading player on the Iberian Peninsula and in some Eastern European markets. It has seen strong net asset inflows over the past year and a sharp rise in profitability.”

“This award is the result of a highly successful collaboration between all the bank’s departments of which we can be very proud. It recognises the hard work done during the previous years to develop a service model for our clients in which, alongside the expertise of our private bankers and wealth managers, digital tools play a major role. I would like to thank all relationship managers, colleagues and all our clients in the trust they place in us. It encourages us to continue along the path we have set for ourselves.”

Stephane Vermeire, General Manager Private Banking & Wealth Management @BNP Paribas Fortis

“I warmly thank all our teams for their unfailing commitment in a changing environment, between health crisis and economic recovery. Thanks also to our clients for their renewed confidence. It strengthens us in our strategic directions".

Nicolas Otton, CEO @BNP Paribas Banque Privée France
