There are a wide range of responsible products out there, and navigating this constantly evolving market can be difficult. BNP Paribas Wealth Management has set up rigorous selection processes to advise you on the products that best meet your needs and objectives

Listed companies and players in the financial sector are required to provide information and figures on their sustainable development approach in a systematic and consistent manner. This information is used in particular in the selection of securities and financial products.

This process comprises several stages which provide complementary filters through which to study both their financial prospects and their outlook in terms of sustainable development. These different selection processes are carried out by experts dedicated to each asset class. The role of private banking is to offer you products that match your ESG investing preferences.

* We prefer to use the term ‘responsible’ rather than ‘sustainable’ to refer to the approach discussed here, as ‘sustainable’ refers to a specific type of financial product whose responsible characteristics are defined by the European Regulation on sustainability‐related disclosures in the financial services sector, also known as the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR).

(1) BNP Paribas' financing and investing policies are publicly available on the website https://group.bnpparibas/en/our-commitments/transitions/financing-and-investment-policies. They provide a framework for financing and investment in sectors deemed to pose a risk to the environment or society, such as palm oil or the mining industries. They also exclude certain activities such as tobacco and non-conventional oil and gas. The criteria of these policies are set out and adapted to BNP Paribas Wealth Management's investment universe in BNP Paribas Asset Management's Responsible Business Conduct Policy

(2) Based on their financial profile, risk profile and sustainability preferences.
