The 19th Asia NextGen Experience connects participants with founders and family leaders of influential Asian enterprises to explore entrepreneurship, legacy and the role of capital
BNP Paribas Wealth Management brought together next-generation entrepreneurs and members of business families from Singapore, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Europe for its 19th Asia NextGen Experience, a two-day programme exploring how a new generation is shaping businesses, building on family legacies and pursuing ambitions of their own.
The programme, which was held at Temasek Shophouse and New Bahru in Singapore, combined conversations with business leaders, exchanges with founders and peer discussions. Speakers included Kuok Khoon Hong, Chairman and CEO of Wilmar International; Loh Lik Peng, Founder of Unlisted Collection; Chloe Tong, Co-Founder of A.C.E. Foundation; and Joycelyn Ong, Head of Co-Axis at Temasek Trust. The sessions addressed reinventing established businesses, building one’s own ventures, using influence and philanthropy with intention, and finding value in what others overlooked.
Drawing on BNP Paribas Wealth Management's longstanding relationships with entrepreneurs and business families across the region, the programme gave participants direct access to the founders behind some of Asia’s most established enterprises, as well as to a new generation of founders building brands of their own.
Arnaud Tellier, CEO Asia Pacific, BNP Paribas Wealth Management, said: "For this generation, leadership is not simply a future responsibility. Many are already transforming family enterprises or building businesses of their own. They are not simply preparing for a future role, they are defining it today. Being a useful partner to them means recognising that business decisions rarely sit apart from family wealth, and bringing together leaders whose experience, shared openly, offers perspectives beyond the usual circle."
Philanthropy emerged as a recurring theme, with participants exploring how the next generation is approaching it not only as a source of funding but also as a way of convening others around shared causes. Chloe Tong, Co-Founder of A.C.E. Foundation, which works to strengthen the support system around children and young people, said, "I've come to believe that when good people come together, great things can happen. To me, philanthropy isn't just about giving; it's about bringing together people, ideas and resources to multiply their impact. If we can help build communities that are more empathetic, more connected and more willing to support one another, we'll leave behind something far more meaningful than any one programme or initiative."
The Asia NextGen Experience is part of BNP Paribas Wealth Management’s broader commitment to the next generation. In August 2026, the bank held its inaugural Peak Week, a four-day programme in Hong Kong for younger members of the next generation, extending the bank’s NextGen platform to an earlier stage of their journey.
