The Next Generation Is Ready To Pick Up The Reins

From Paris to Singapore, the NextGen events organised by BNP Paribas Wealth Management are a big success.

Young talents already involved in a family firm or active entrepreneurs who represent the next generation of BNP Paribas Wealth Management clients and prospects have been invited to one- or three-day workshops where they receive training in specific subjects.

This program enables the participants to learn about wealth management and to prepare themselves for when they have to take over the family business or look after its assets, or for when they are looking for new business opportunities.

International events

No fewer than 40 young people aged 25-35 came from 12 different countries to participate in the 2016 edition of the Next Generation Alumni Program in Paris on 1 and 2 June 2016.

In Hong Kong, 41 newcomers joined 10 previous participants from the 2014 and 2015 editions at the event held on 15-17 June.

100% of participants recommend the program

The Paris event had a strong panel of internal and external speakers, such as the successful entrepreneur Eric Archambeau, media expert Lewis Dvorkin from Forbes and leading family wealth Advisor Peter Leach. The program covered a wide range of subjects from the various asset classes to market opportunities.

In Hong Kong, more than 15 participants discussed entrepreneurship, family firms and philanthropy to celebrate the program’s 10th year. Parents and heirs shared their family’s success stories, adding an intergenerational aspect that was highly appreciated.

With 95% of participants rating the events as “excellent” or “good”, and 100% saying they would recommend it to their friends and family, the NextGen program should continue to run for many more years.
