5th Edition of the Women Entrepreneur Program at Stanford Graduate School of Business

Last July, 40 talented women entrepreneurs from 13 countries attended a weeklong program on leadership and accelerating business run by BNP Paribas Wealth Management and the Women Initiative Foundation on the Stanford Campus.

LOOKING BACK AT THE 5th “WOMEN ENTREPRENEUR PROGRAM”

Over the course of this 5 year-long initiative, BNP Paribas Wealth Management have provided 200 women leaders with training from the Stanford Graduate School of Business along with personal and professional development.

In partnership with the Women Initiative Foundation, BNP Paribas Wealth Management has invited 40 leading international women entrepreneurs from 13 different countries: Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, China, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Luxembourg, Taiwan, Morocco, Poland, and the USA. Selected for their experience and their growing companies with a broad international appeal, these talented entrepreneurs represent various sectors of activity including education, digital, fashion, finance, real estate, construction, recycling, manufacturing…

WHAT’S NEW THIS YEAR ?

  • An extended program to network more and benefit from extra classes: new classes including “Gender in the workplace”, “Building social networks” and “Coaching inspirational”

  • A tour of Bank of the West Private Banking center @Palo Alto

  • A fireside chat with 2018 alumni, Hazel Hu, CEO at PERMASTEEL INC in California, specializing in making quality Gas Grills. A great opportunity to share with us the benefits of this program. She mentioned: “This program is a true transformative experience; it has not only changed my mindset and my concept of leadership, but also gave me many valuable friendships.   • A roundtable discussion on women mentoring in San Francisco

  • An open discussion with Oana Marcu, scientist at SETI Institute / NASA Ames Research Center.  Oana is a molecular biologist in astrobiology and space sciences, worked on projects for the International Space Station, and she shared her views on “Space - Challenges, Opportunities and Innovation".
