Five Wins at the WealthBriefingAsia Greater China Awards 2021
BNP Paribas Wealth Management Asia won five awards across multiple categories at the WealthBriefingAsia (WBA) Greater China Awards 2021 announced on 19 April. These accolades included:
- Hong Kong Domestic Private Bank
- Credit Provider [3rd consecutive win]
- NRI Offering by a Private Bank [2nd consecutive win]
- Impact Investing [3rd consecutive win]
- Next-Gen Programme
Voted as the Best Hong Kong Domestic Private Bank, WBA acknowledged that the interplay between the needs of a local player and the capabilities of one of the leaders of the international stage was evident in BNP Paribas Wealth Management’s submission. The case was made with clarity and was well argued where heritage and quality were clearly evident.
As the Best Credit Provider, which BNP Paribas Wealth Management won three times since 2019, WBA said the bank showed its mettle and displayed the characteristics that make it stand out from peers. It stood by its clients by expanding its balance sheet. The total size of its loan book has grown during the pandemic. It was impressive that the winner managed the crisis by anticipating the consequences of market movements through regular stress testing at portfolio level and maintaining a constant dialogue with clients – a prudent approach that has won many plaudits.
Claiming two consecutive victories as the Best NRI Offering by a Private Bank, WBA commented that it was a quality submission from a worthy winner. Complete with relevant examples, metrics and case studies, the scale and depth of the offering was apparent from start.
For the bank’s third wins in the Impact Investing category, BNP Paribas Wealth Management was praised for its clarity of thought and strength of purpose in a submission that used case studies, graphics and metrics to prove the point. The alignment of goals with clients was also evident and was appreciated by the judges.
On the bank’s inaugural award as Best Next-Gen Programme in Greater China, WBA said that with the emphasis firmly on the actionable, this submission displayed the ethos of a programme that is designed to deliver results.
This latest batch of honours follows a record-breaking 2020 where the bank collected a total of 28 wins.
