GLOBAL OVERVIEW FOR ENTREPRENEURIAL INVESTMENTS
Welcome to the 2021 Global Entrepreneur and Family Report by BNP Paribas Wealth Management. In this seventh edition of this annual report, we have surveyed very successful entrepreneurs and families from around the globe to define their investment strategies for 2020 and beyond. So let’s take a look at some of the key themes that have emerged from this report.
"Smart technology remains a key theme. It was strong in 2020. It remains a strong theme for 2021. Entrepreneurs with a growth bias are certainly very favourable towards all forms of new technologies, not just in PCs but also in, as I’ve said, agriculture, in health care, for instance with the use of Artificial Intelligence techniques, in discovering drug candidates or diagnostics, and finally 5th generation super-fast mobile internet, which is now coming to the US and Europe thanks to very heavy infrastructure spending by telecom operators. But of course, this will also push consumers into an upgrade cycle as they swap their old 4G smartphones for new 5G-ready smartphones like the iPhone 12."
