NEXTGEN & SFO: how is Wealth Management accompanying clients towards a sustainable future?

BNP Paribas Wealth Management recently organized two significant events bringing together a line-up of internal and external experts to further engage clients on key issues that matter to both our clients and the private bank.

SFO 2023

It started with our NextGen program, bringing together Millennials from around the world. For near 20 years, BNP Paribas Wealth Management has fostered the creation of a community composed of the next generation of clients—the sons, daughters, and heirs of our current Entrepreneur & Family customers. This new generation is slowly taking the reins of their family business at the same time.

The program’s three immersive days included sessions on climate change, smart building, the circular economy, and the future of mobility

SDA Bocconi School of Management (Milan, Italy) came to present their Wealth Management-sponsored study on family governance, and the participants were particularly interested in learning the trends involved in family business…  in particular considering many of the participants will be taking over the reins of their family’s business very soon.

The 50th anniversary of BNP Paribas and Roland Garros provided the participants with a great occasion to attend the men’s quarter-finals. And as a motivating surprise, former #1 player Kim Clijsters came to the NextGen event to deliver a keynote and answer questions about excellence both on and off the court…  all with an angle of giving back, especially to children.

The week continued with the Single Family Office (SFO) forum, our annual flagship event highlighting OneBank in action for our Entrepreneur & Families clients.  BNP Paribas’ strong expertise was centre stage as discussions focused on customized solutions for billionaire families—from Wealth Management, of course, but also from CIB and Asset Management, everywhere the Group’s expertise is evident.  The event was a catalyst for discussion amongst our experts and the participating clients, as ideas sparked during plenaries were refined in one-to-one discussions, tailor-making solutions on the fly for future discussions.

Joining the impressive roster of speakers: our Chairman Jean Lemierre, for a fireside chat with the SFO participants, and indeed our CEO and Deputy CEO, Vincent Lecomte and Anne Pointet respectively, who concluded the two events. NextGen and SFO show our engagement to always ‘go further’, providing the kinds of solutions actively searched for by our Entrepreneur & Family clients.
