BNP Paribas launches Bridge Foundation to support structured philanthropy across Asia
BNP Paribas Wealth Management today announced the launch of BNP Paribas Bridge Foundation Limited (“Bridge Foundation”), a donor-advised fund (“DAF”) platform designed to support Asian entrepreneurs, high-net-worth individuals and family offices seeking a disciplined, well-governed approach to philanthropy.
The launch reflects growing demand across Asia for structured charitable solutions that meet international standards in governance, fiduciary responsibility and regulation, while remaining practical and responsive to local market realities. As philanthropic activity in the region becomes more complex and cross-border in nature, donors are increasingly focused on control, transparency and risk management alongside impact.
Bridge Foundation draws on BNP Paribas’ long-established experience in governance, compliance and fiduciary oversight, combined with the Bank’s strong global footprint. It is designed to offer clients an operationally robust framework for charitable giving, without the need to manage administrative responsibilities.
Arnaud Tellier, Asia Pacific CEO, BNP Paribas Wealth Management said: “Philanthropy is becoming an integral part of the entrepreneurial journey in Asia, where wealth is no longer about accumulation, but about leaving a lasting legacy. Bridge Foundation is designed to support this vision, providing a secure and efficient platform for philanthropic giving that upholds the highest standards of governance and compliance.”
“As we continue to expand our wealth management services in Asia, our strategic focus on philanthropy and legacy planning will enable us to build stronger, more meaningful relationships with our clients and contribute to the long-term prosperity of the region.”
Governance built for cross-border complexity
Bridge Foundation is overseen by a governance board comprising of both internal and external professionals with experience across philanthropy, impact investing and the Asian charitable sector. This structure ensures clear decision-making, strong oversight and alignment with best-practice governance standards.
Since inception, the platform has received initial commitments from a range of family offices and entrepreneurial clients, reflecting early demand for a DAF solution that balances flexibility with institutional-grade safeguards.
Aligned with Singapore’s role as a trusted wealth and philanthropy hub
Singapore’s continued effort to strengthen its position as a regional wealth and philanthropy hub has sharpened expectations around credibility, governance and stewardship of private wealth. In this context, Bridge Foundation is positioned to support donors who require the assurance of working with an European bank with global reach and a long track record in regulatory discipline, while operating within Singapore’s robust financial and legal system.
By anchoring the platform in BNP Paribas’ established compliance and risk management capabilities, Bridge Foundation offers donors a clear and secure structure for philanthropic activity originating from Singapore and across the region.
Mae Anderson, Head of Philanthropy Services, Asia, BNP Paribas Wealth Management said: “Our clients want efficiency and flexibility, but they also want confidence. Confidence in governance, in process and in execution. Bridge Foundation is designed to meet those expectations, providing a controlled framework that allows clients to focus on their philanthropic objectives while we manage the structural complexity.”
