BNP Paribas Wealth Management hosts
its first Cannes Influence Day Out
On 16 May, BNP Paribas Wealth Management brought together influential entrepreneurs from diverse sectors, ranging from technology & media to luxury hospitality and gastronomy, to meet and connect on the sidelines of the Festival de Cannes.
At the crossroads where creativity, boldness and culture meet, the event was marked by inspiring conversations, including with Ariane Toscan du Plantier, Director of Cinema Distribution France & International, at Gaumont, and Henri de Roquemaurel & Aliette de Villeneuve from BNP Paribas’ Image & Media division, as well as the preview of a film presented at La Semaine de la Critique.
Entrepreneurs, like filmmakers, are shaping a narrative that deserves to be shared.
Vincent Lecomte, CEO of BNP Paribas Wealth Management, said: “BNP Paribas has a very long history with cinema, and this is the first time we, the Wealth Management business, have organised an event that brings together cinema and entrepreneurs. We see many similarities and common values between cinema and entrepreneurship: passion, creativity, sharing, daring, and a certain taste for risk-taking. From impact-led creation to technology, media and gastronomy, the diversity of profiles sparked inspiring conversations.”
Virginie Delaunay, Deputy CEO of BNP Paribas Wealth Management, said: “The Group has had a long and beautiful love affair with cinema for over 100 years, and Wealth Management has strong ties with entrepreneurship. The ambition of this day was to bring these two worlds together. Culture is a powerful living heritage, a formidable vector of emotion and transmission. In their own way, entrepreneurs also carry stories, ideas, commitments that resonate with what we stand for. An event like this allows us to offer a space where everyone can share their story, projects and challenges.”
